VOTER REGISTRATION

If you are registering for the first time in Durham County, the Durham County Board of Elections must receive your application with an original signature. While we highly encourage you to fill out all sections of the voter registration form, your full name, residential address, date of birth, and original signature are mandatory fields and must be completed on the registration form. 

You may mail your completed voter registration form to Durham County Board of Elections, P.O. Box 868, Durham, NC 27702. You may also hand deliver the form to the Durham County Board of Elections at 3825 S. Roxboro Street, Suite 101, Durham, NC 27713.

Voter Registration forms received via email or fax DO NOT satisfy the requirement of an original signature for first time registrations in the county.

If you are currently registered in Durham County and need to make a change to your name, address, or party affiliation, you may elect to email, fax, mail, or deliver in-person your registration form to the Durham Board of Elections.
