Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People (DCABP) is a long-standing civic organization that works to promote equity, civic engagement, and the welfare of Black residents in areas like civic participation, economic opportunity, housing, education, and health.
A honorary proclamation celebrating the organization's 90-year anniversary was presented to DCABP from Mayor Leo Williams at the 12-15-2025 City Council meeting. The proclamation recognizes the organization's long-standing history, cause, and milestones. The mayor presented it directly to Attorney Floyd B. McKissick, Jr, Glyndola Massenburg-Beasley, Public Relations Chair, and Aalayah Sanders, Public Relations Vice Chair.
